Spiritual connoisseurs

We should not ask: How can I develop all kinds of occult powers as quickly as possible? – Or: How can I close myself off from contact with reality? – Whoever wants such things for himself is selfish and nothing less than a spiritual connoisseur. If one only wants to enjoy everything mentally, then it is as if one only behaves only a little more refined than a food connoisseur who starts at breakfast with satisfying the taste buds. When physical lust has been tainted, the more refined spiritual fare often comes. One is anthroposophist in the right way when one exerts oneself to understand and serve life.
